Hennessey has officially begun upgrading Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing models with its H1000 package, giving the sports sedan a huge power boost and turning it into an absolute beast. Forget about BMW M5s or Mercedes-AMG E63s; the Hennessey-modified CT5-V Blackwing is the new go-to.

Coming straight from the factory, the CT5-V Blackwing is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that delivers 668 hp and 659 lb-ft (893 Nm) of torque. Buyers have the option to select either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. Regardless of the gearbox choice, both versions can accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in roughly 3.5 seconds and reach top speeds of up to 205 mph (330 km/h).

Uncontent with the already impressive specs, Hennessey engineers have performed extensive modifications on the LT4 V8 engine. These upgrades include ported cylinder heads, tweaked intake and exhaust valves, upgraded lifters and pushrods, as well as the addition of larger heat exchangers and long-tube stainless steel headers. A custom ECU calibration ensures that all these alterations operate cohesively.

The cumulative effect of these upgrades is a staggering 1,000 hp and 966 lb-ft (1,309 Nm) of torque at the crank. During recent dyno tests on the first H1000-modified CT5-V Blackwing, which sports an eye-catching blue finish, the car generated 841 hp and 765 lb-ft (1,037 Nm) of torque at the rear wheels. According to Hennessey, their revamped CT5-V Blackwing can reach 60 mph in approximately 2.5 seconds, complete a quarter-mile in 10.1 seconds, and surpass the stock 205 mph (330 km/h) top speed.

John Hennessey commented, ““Cadillac’s CT5-V Blackwing, fitted with GM’s supercharged LT4, was a natural candidate for our EXORCIST upgrade as it improves power considerably without affecting drivability. Resurrected as an ‘H1000’, the four-door Cadillac is the fastest combustion-only luxury sedan on the planet. It is a rare high-water mark in a segment that will vanish by the decade’s end.”
