Tagged with a price tag of $300,000, the R30 by Blue Innovations Group boasts a 221 kWh battery, twin motors, and a deck designed for entertaining.

The Blue Innovations Group R30 is almost ready to be shown off to the world, and the American-designed and built electric power boat will launch on December 16. However, deliveries of the boat have been delayed by a few months.

First introduced to the public at CES, the 30-foot (nine-meter) vessel with a power output of 800 hp (596 kW/811 PS) is slated to have its premiere in St. Petersburg, Florida. The company has now confirmed that shipments of the R30 will commence in the third quarter of 2024, a slight deviation from the earlier planned second quarter.

For those who have made up their minds, the R30 can be booked with a $1,000 deposit. Those eager to be among the first 100 owners of this vessel can opt for the “BIG Reservation” at a cost of $5,000, ensuring priority delivery once the boat starts shipping.

“We are thrilled to launch the R30 in St. Petersburg, Florida, a community that has embraced our mission from the very beginning,” said John Vo, the company’s founder, CEO, and a former Tesla executive. “The R30 is a testament to American innovation and the cutting-edge technologies emerging from the State of Florida.”

The R30 is powered by two electric motors, delivering a combined 800 hp (596 kW/811 PS). It houses a 221 kWh battery, complemented by solar panels on its roof. Blue Innovations Group anticipates that this boat will offer up to eight hours of operation and can hit speeds of 45 mph (72 km/h).

Measuring 30 feet (nine meters), the R30 can comfortably host 12 guests. It's equipped with a small kitchen and a unique "expandable ocean deck" which can be extended for larger gatherings.

“The R30 will provide the ultimate boating experience for customers with uncompromised safety, performance, style, and value while being environmentally friendly,” said Vo. “We’ve seen enthusiasm not only among current boaters but also among non-boaters who share the sentiment that the R30 is a long-overdue innovation.”

With all its features, the vessel doesn’t come cheap. The R30 by Blue Innovations Group is projected to retail at $300,000.
