A single teaser image showcases a silhouette of the Vision Qe, characterized by its four-door coupe dimensions. The vehicle's roof and rear window seamlessly transition into the rear end of the car. Additionally, the concept features Infiniti's revamped word mark, which was introduced as part of a larger brand overhaul in June.
The roll-out of these new offerings is aligned with Infiniti's broader strategy to refresh its brand identity. The carmaker has debuted a new 3D logo, revamped its retail experience, and even launched a unique brand fragrance.
These forthcoming products fall under the umbrella of the Nissan Ambition 2030 Strategy. Initially launched in 2021 and updated in early 2023, the plan has set even more ambitious targets. Specifically, Infiniti aims to roll out at least 19 new EVs and 27 electrified models by the end of the decade.
By 2026, Infiniti anticipates that electrified models will make up nearly 98 percent of its sales in Europe. Meanwhile, parent company Nissan aims for electrified vehicles to constitute 40 percent of its U.S. sales by 2030.
Infiniti's electric offerings will likely utilize one of the five platform architectures that will form the foundation for 90 percent of the 35 EVs set to be released by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. Announced in early 2022, the alliance plans to collectively invest $25 billion in an aggressive push towards electrification. Furthermore, the partnership aims to decrease battery costs by 65 percent by 2028 and cut prices in half by 2026.
