Rolling out now on Android Auto, the navigation section of Maps is getting a facelift with new button designs and less crowded information.

The update, which appears to be server-side and may not show up for all users yet, shows the estimated travel time in bold at the top, with the distance and estimated time of arrival below.

Further down are buttons to stop navigation, view alternate routes, search for additional locations, view stops on the route, and an overflow button. These have also been redesigned slightly, and a line separating the two sections that appeared in the previous design has been removed.

The new look is more modern, and works particularly well with the new sidebar that Google recently introduced to Android Auto.

The changes are being made in Google Maps v11.104.0100 and Android Auto v10.8, which are rolling out via the Play Store.
