The Acura ZDX was first revealed in August. The ZDX is based on GM's Ultium platform and sits on a 102 kWh battery pack that will help owners go up to 325 miles (523 km) per charge. In the US, the A-Spec version starts at $60,000 and is powered by a single 340 hp (254 kW) electric motor in the rear.
For buyers with a need for speed, the 2024 ZDX Type S will be the most powerful SUV Acura has ever produced. Thanks to a second motor up front, the model will produce 500 hp (373 kW) and power all four wheels. It will be priced in the $70,000 range.
To help handle all that power, the model is equipped with 15.6-inch Brembo brake discs and six-piston calipers finished in yellow. A height-adjustable air suspension with performance-tuned adaptive dampers helps manage the EV's weight through the corners.
In addition to reserving their place in the production run, customers who choose to order a ZDX will also receive an Acura Energy Key Card. Available as a digital or physical card, the gift provides customers with exclusive discounts and access to Acura-sponsored events.
Energy Key car owners will unlock access to events such as the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, with VIP access to Acura Owner spaces and exclusive programming. They will also receive discounts on products from Topgolf and Bang & Olufsen, whose speakers will be used in the ZDX for the first time by Acura.
Best of all, customers who reserve their Acura ZDX today won't have to wait long to get their new SUV. Deliveries of the automaker's first EV will begin in early 2024.
