Zeekr has recently made significant strides in the EV industry with the introduction of the 001 sedan, the 009 MPV, and the X SUV. The 007 marks Zeekr's first foray into the luxury sedan segment. Remarkably affordable in the Chinese market, thanks to substantial subsidies, the 007 starts at a price point of approximately 229,900 yuan, or about $32,000.
The 007's design, led by Zeekr's head of design Stefan Sielaff, who boasts experience at Audi and Bentley, presents a more classic look compared to the 001 and X models. These earlier models share a resemblance with Lynk & Co vehicles, another Geely-owned brand. A standout feature of the 007's design is its front fascia with sleek LED headlights and a unique full-width display capable of showcasing customizable written messages. The inaugural model proudly displays 'The 1st Zeekr 007.'
Zeekr offers the 007 in six color options: Dawn Brown, Clear Sky Blue, Mist Silver, Misty Gray, Bright Moon White, and Polar Night Black.
The vehicle comes with two powertrain choices, both built on an advanced 800-volt high-voltage architecture. The base model features a single electric motor at the rear, delivering 310 kW (415 hp) and achieving 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.4 seconds. For those desiring more power, there's an all-wheel drive option with a combined output of 475 kW (637 hp), slashing the 0-100 km/h acceleration time to just 2.84 seconds.
Both versions are equipped with Zeekr's innovative Golden Battery, a lithium iron phosphate unit. This battery supports ultra-fast charging speeds up to 500 kW, allowing the addition of 500 km (311 miles) of range in merely 15 minutes.
