GAC, a Chinese automotive company, has recently introduced the Aion Y Plus, a 2024 model year vehicle, now available in China starting at $20,000.

This car is powered by a 68.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, capable of delivering a range of 610 km (approximately 379 miles) on the CLTC cycle.

The Aion Y Plus is distinctive in appearance, with a unique body shape and headlight design. It measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. For comparison, the VW ID.4 has a length of 4,584 mm and a wheelbase of 2,765 mm.

The interior features a large central control screen, replacing physical buttons on the central console, allowing drivers to manage most functions digitally.

Under the hood lies a single electric motor, delivering 150 kilowatts of power and a peak torque of 225 Nm.
