The fifth-generation Toyota Prius, unveiled in late 2022, has now received a stylish upgrade from Kuhl Racing. The aero kit evokes the spirit of classic Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) designs.

Kuhl Racing, a renowned Japanese tuner, has developed an assertive styling kit for the Prius. It includes a bold front lower bumper, sleek side skirts, and a dynamic three-dimensional rear bumper. The kit features a prominent Kuhl logo, although it can be removed upon request.

Accentuating the car's side profile are the 19-inch "DDR Series" Verz five-spoke wheels, offered in various colors. This new look for the Prius is somewhat reminiscent of the detailed body kit by Modellista released last year, yet it forgoes the intricate wheel design. Additionally, Toyota’s performance arm, Gazoo Racing, has also contributed to the project, further enhancing the car's appeal.

Kuhl's offerings don't stop at aesthetics; they include the Blitz adjustable coilover suspension system. This feature allows for height adjustments to suit different preferences, although it might lead to the occasional scraping of the kit's lower parts.

In the US, the Toyota Prius comes with a 2.0-liter inline-four engine combined with a hybrid system, producing approximately 196 horsepower. There's also a plug-in hybrid variant, the Prius Prime. The base model used for the Kuhl Style showcase is Japan's 2.0 G 2WD, similar to the American LE trim, starting at $27,650.

For those interested in the Kuhl Style kit for the Prius, the cost is around ¥3,990,000 (approximately $28,293), with additional options worth ¥1,052,920 ($7,466). While this may exceed the vehicle's price, it's a significant enhancement for a model that has often been the subject of jokes, now ensuring it stands out with distinction.
