VinFast explains that the DrgnFly's name draws inspiration from the image of an ascending dragon. The bike will be available for purchase in the U.S. with a starting price of $2,800 and includes a standard two-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
The design of the DrgnFly sets it apart from other electric bikes, thanks to VinFast's collaboration with the Danish design studio Eskild Hansen. It features a V-shaped frame, wide handlebars, balloon tires, and is constructed from lightweight aluminum.
The DrgnFly is powered by a 750-watt electric motor integrated into the rear wheel, drawing power from a detachable lithium-ion battery. It can reach speeds of up to 28 mph (45 km/h) and has a range of up to 63 miles (102 km) on a single charge. VinFast has not specified the battery's capacity or recharge time.
Customers will also be pleased to know that the DrgnFly comes equipped with a 4G connection and a companion app that includes features such as remote locking, bike location tracking, ride statistics, and remote diagnostics. The bike also supports over-the-air updates.
