In 2023, the Dacia Spring compact hatchback became the third most popular electric car in the private European market. The Romanian brand intends to continue the success story of this model and for this purpose will launch a new Spring in the summer.

Dacia has officially announced its plans for 2024. The new Dacia Duster and the new Dacia Spring will be available for order as early as March. And in the summer these cars will arrive in dealer showrooms. It is emphasised that the compact electric car will get a "completely new design outside and inside".

More will be known at the end of February, when the new Dacia Spring will celebrate its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.

The current Dacia Spring has been manufactured in China since 2015. The car is built on a "mixed" platform for electric powertrains and internal combustion engines. In Europe, the Spring only appeared in 2021 exclusively in an electric version.

The new Spring is expected to have a purely electric platform. Maybe even a simplified version of the platform of the new Renault 5, which will also be presented in production form at the Geneva Motor Show.

The most interesting thing is the price of the upcoming Dacia Spring, as the competitors are not sleeping, with Citroën e-C3 prices starting at 23,300 euros and should be reduced to 19,990 euros in the long term. Even parent Renault has already promised for 2025 / 2026 an electric Twingo with a starting price of around 20,000 euros.
