The Zagato AGTZ Twin Tail is based on the Alpine A110 mid-engined coupé. If you are one of the 19 lucky buyers of this sports car, you will be able to choose any paint job or interior colour combination you like. Zagato is showing the first two cars in blue and white, as well as a third car in blue, white and red as a tribute to the flag of France.
Zagato isn't saying what powerplant powers the Twin Tail, but it will likely retain the factory 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbo engine from the A110, which makes 250 horsepower in the factory version. In the Alpine A110, this engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Zagato also doesn't reveal how much weight has been added due to the new bodywork. The base A110 weighs just 1,101kg.
Prices for the Zagato AGTZ Twin Tail start from €650,000 and almost half of them have already been sold. The sports car with removable rear end will be unveiled publicly at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in May.
