Peugeot has published a teaser video showing the interior of the new e-5008. A major upgrade is planned for the model. The crossover will get a curved 21-inch panoramic HD screen, combining a projection display and a central touchscreen. The 'floating' effect is emphasised by ambient LED lighting, the source of which is located below the screen.
The Peugeot 5008 has been available since 2017. The first significant update of the crossover took place in 2020, followed by the 2022 model year. In the next generation, the seven-seat crossover will be built on the STLA Medium platform of the Stellantis alliance. It will make an electric version called the e-5008.
According to preliminary information e-5008 will be equipped with a battery capacity of 79 or 98 kilowatt-hours - in the first case the range will be about 480 kilometres, and in the second - 640 kilometres.
In a short press release from Peugeot, it is claimed that the new e-5008 will have a spacious interior and easy access to the third row seats. Further details about the car will be revealed in March.
