The roof profile, window line and modest ground clearance indicate that we're looking at a future competitor to the all-electric Porsche Macan.

The new electric-powered Range Rover Velar will be one of three new Land Rover SUVs on the new EMA platform. The vehicle will be similar in size to the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. As Autocar reported, the start of mass production is expected before the end of 2024.

Details about the next-generation model remain under wraps, but it's clear that the electric Velar will be more orientated towards driving on tarmac roads than other Land Rover representatives. The prototype in the photos has a suspiciously long tail, which could indicate a third row of seats. However, so far there has been no confirmation of this.

The official presentation of the new Range Rover Velar is expected in the coming months.
