Infiniti has revealed a multimedia system and advanced driving assistance systems that are designed to make driving in the city and off-road easier. The premiere of the flagship model of the Japanese brand will be held on 20 March at the International Auto Show in New York.
In the saloon on the front panel of QX80 will appear a pair of high-definition displays with a diagonal of 14.3 inches: one will serve as a dashboard, the second - the screen of the media system. It will integrate Google services, including navigation maps and assistant. Navigation will work in conjunction with individual speakers in the headrests. Thus, only the driver will hear the navigation prompts.
Another interesting feature is the Front Wide View visibility system. It will use a front camera with a 170 degree angle of view and will help to manoeuvre on narrow streets and in car parks.
The Japanese also told about "transparent bonnet" or Invisible Hood View. For work of this system will be involved several external cameras, transmitting on screens the image of that is directly under a bonnet. The picture will be supplemented with dynamic tips indicating the position of the wheels.
In addition, it is known that Infiniti QX80 will be stylised in the style of the QX Monograph concept, presented last summer. In the new generation QX80 will abandon the V8 engine in favour of a V6 biturbo engine with 450 hp and 698 Nm of torque. A nine-speed automatic will be used as the gearbox.
The list of available equipment of the crossover will include Electronic Air Suspension, biometric cooling system, seats with massage and Klipsch audio system with 24 speakers.
