The G6 boasts a modern platform named SEPA2.0, with an 800V architecture designed for ultra-fast charging capabilities of up to 280 kW.
The G6 comes with two battery pack options: a 66 kWh and an 87.5 kWh, offering a maximum WLTP driving range of up to 570 km. Customers can choose between a standard rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive option. In terms of performance, there are three versions available: the RWD Standard Range with 190 kW/258 hp, the RWD Long Range with 210 kW/286 hp, and the AWD Performance version boasting 350 kW/476 hp and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds.
The car provides ample legroom and headroom suitable for taller individuals and comes with a luggage compartment volume of 571 liters. It features high-quality materials throughout, including heated and leatherette-covered seats. Infotainment needs are met by the latest Xmart OS system displayed on both a driver-centric 10.2-inch screen and a central 14.96-inch screen.
Standard equipment includes features aimed at enhancing user experience and comfort such as 20-inch rims with Michelin tires, panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats with a heating option as well as for the steering wheel, four USB ports along with two powerful induction charging points for smartphones, and a premium audio system by featuring a powerful 960W output through its 18 speakers.
Additionally, XPeng has incorporated practical technologies like heat pumps to improve electrical performance during winter months and V2L (vehicle-to-load) capability that allows the car’s electricity to be used for powering external devices. For those requiring more from their SUVs, there's an optional electrically deployable tow bar among other customizable features.
XPeng also announced that each G6 would come with an extensive warranty—the specifics guarantee coverage for seven years or up to 160,000 kilometers.
