The IM L6 is available in three variants: Standard Max priced below 230,000 yuan ($31,800), High-performance at under 299,900 yuan ($41,480), and Lightyear Max costing less than 330,000 yuan ($45,640). Notably, the Lightyear Max variant comes equipped with the extensively discussed solid-state battery.
The battery named Lightyear features a semi-solid state design with a capacity of 130 kWh and supports fast charging at 400 kilowatts. This allows it to add 400 kilometers of range within only 12 minutes. Besides this advanced option, IM Motors offers traditional NMC batteries with capacities of 90 and 100 kWh for ranges of 700-770 km CLTC.
The IM L6 boasts dimensions of 4931/1960/1474 mm and incorporates innovative design elements tailored to enhance aerodynamics and comfort. These include magnetic suction discs for accessory attachment and an expansive panoramic roof among others. Its interior further benefits from high-tech inputs like multi-angle Carlog technology and City Drive functions facilitated by Nvidia Orin X and Qualcomm chips along with LiDAR sensors for improved safety.
Adding to its advanced technology suite are features like DZT dynamic tracking technology which uses a full circle camera to identify hazards around the vehicle. By year-end, IM Motors plans to introduce NOA driving assistant across China enhancing urban driving experiences with features such as rear-wheel steering provided by its first-generation Vehicle Motion Control system.
The performance capabilities are highlighted by a Hurricane motor allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in merely 2.74 seconds and reach speeds up to 268 km/h. Various motor options cater to different driving preferences including four-wheel-drive configurations ranging from 200 kW to over four hundred kW.
