Hyundai is set to reveal the Ioniq 7, a new three-row battery-electric SUV, next month at the Busan Auto Show in Korea. The vehicle, which has been under wraps for the last year, recently shed some of its camouflage, giving a clearer glimpse of its design and features.

The Ioniq 7’s design includes split headlights with daytime running lights positioned above the main headlamps. Its body showcases smooth surfaces and incorporation of flush door handles. Wheel designs feature a combination of black and silver. The vehicle also boasts practical roof rails.

In comparison to Kia’s comparable EV9 model, the rear design of the Ioniq 7 stands out with more upright appearance and larger rear windows—beneficial for second-row passengers. A unique vertical taillight array extends upward past the rear window, differing significantly from the EV9’s layout.

The Ioniq 7 is expected to use Hyundai's current E-GMP platform and should share powertrain options with the EV9. These include a base rear-wheel drive setup with 215 horsepower and an all-wheel drive option boasting 379 horsepower. A more powerful variant similar to EV9’s GT model features 576 horsepower.

Hyundai is expected to offer the Ioniq 7 with a 76.1 kWh battery as well as a larger 99.8 kWh battery, just as Kia does with its EV9.
