Hennessey, a renowned automotive tuner, staged an exhilarating drag race between its modified Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth 1200 and a Ford GT owned by Shmee150, a popular automotive content creator.

The Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth 1200 boasts a formidable 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine enhanced with a new supercharger, custom pulleys, upgraded spark plugs, and an ECU tune. This truck produces an impressive 1,200 horsepower and features an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. It weighs about 6,440 lbs. In contrast, the Ford GT is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine that generates 647 horsepower and weighs just 3,354 lbs.

The first drag race demonstrated the initial advantage of the Ram's powerful all-wheel drive system, allowing it to surge ahead with significant lead initially. However, as the race progressed at higher speeds, the Ford GT began to close the gap due to its lighter weight and higher efficiency.

In the second race of the day featuring a better launch by the GT from standing start conditions proved crucial as it managed to pass the heavyweight TRX just before crossing the finish line.

The third contest was a roll race which clearly favored the Ford GT; it won comfortably over the Hennessey-modified Mammoth.

The fourth and final race was once again a standing start, but if you want to see the result you'll have to watch the full video.
