The Renault Captur has been updated with a new design and is now available for order in the UK starting at £21,095. The refreshed model competes with vehicles like the Ford Puma and Nissan Juke.

The second-generation Captur showcases a bold new front end illuminated by full LED lights and features the stylish Renault Nouvel’R logo. A higher and more horizontal bonnet and striking two-tone color schemes enhance its visual appeal. Inside, the Captur is equipped with a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen that incorporates the latest OpenR Link infotainment system based on Android Automotive 12.

Technological upgrades extend to connectivity with services like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, alongside a wireless smartphone charger. The cabin also boasts a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and USB-C sockets ensure modern device compatibility. Renault has prioritized sustainability within their new interior, opting for recycled fabrics while avoiding leather or chrome materials.

As for performance, buyers can choose between a standard petrol engine – the 90hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder TCe – or opt for the eco-friendlier E-Tech 1.6-litre full hybrid which promises emissions of just 105g/km CO2 according to WLTP standards, achieving up to 60.1mpg. The SUV's rear seats lead its class in term of space, capable of sliding up to 16cm, paired with generous storage ranging from 536 to 1,334 litres.

In terms of trim levels, 'Evolution' starts off the range priced at £21,095 for TCe and £24,595 for E-Tech models featuring automatic LED headlights, rear parking sensors and advanced driver assistance systems; ‘Techno’ trim adds larger wheels and additional tech at £22,795 (TCe) or £26,295 (E-Tech); 'Esprit Alpine', available only as E-Tech for £27,995 includes luxury touches such as adaptive cruise control and heated seating elements.

First deliveries of the facelifted Renault Captur will start in the third quarter of 2024.
