Dubai Police recently expanded its fleet of vehicles with an electric Tesla Cybertruck. The vehicle in white and green police livery will patrol popular tourist spots.

The police Tesla Cybertruck is equipped with a roof-mounted light panel and additional lights. These are built into the front bumper and fender extenders.

Dubai Police didn't say much about the vehicle, but noted that it has been added to their "tourist luxury patrol fleet," which is more focused on marketing and attracting tourists than chasing lawbreakers. As part of the marketing effort, the Cybertruck will appear at the Dubai Mall ice rink on June 18 so that visitors can have their picture taken with it.

Elon Musk rejoiced at the news. The Tesla executive wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Cool."

Not much is known about this particular pickup truck. Meanwhile, the Tesla Cybertruck for the US is available in three versions. The entry-level model costs $60,990 and is rear-wheel drive with 250 miles (402 kilometres) of range. The mid-level Cybertruck, priced at $79,990, offers all-wheel drive and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds with a range of 340 miles (547 km). The top version, called Cyberbeast, costs $99,990, has 845 horsepower and a range of 320 miles (514 kilometres).
