Maserati marks 20 years since its racing comeback with a special edition MC20. The Italian luxury automaker unveiled two models inspired by their storied race car, the MC12. They introduced these cars during an event commemorating two decades since rejoining motorsports. Each design accent harks back to its legendary predecessors with modern twists and eminent capabilities.

The first model, the MC20 Icona, mirrors the white and blue theme of the original MC12 Stradale. This vehicle boasts exterior colors Bianco Audace Matte and Blue Stradale. Its distinctive features include logos marked "White Maserati Fuoriserie" near the rear wheels and an Italian flag motif on the fender. Additionally, the sporty blue brake calipers are noticeable beneath its wheels accented with blue Tridents on center caps.

The second model, named MC20 Leggenda, draws inspiration from the MC12 GT1 Vitaphone racing version. Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte coat its body while touches like mint-colored logos enhance its sports appeal. The wheels display a black hue accented with mint-colored Trident. Other specs such as black brake calipers remain consistent across both models.

Both limited-edition models contain only 20 units each, underlining their exclusivity and allure for collectors and aficionados alike. Every detail down to carbon fiber engine covers was crafted to echo Maserati's rich sporting lineage.

Each car houses a potent twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, dubbed Nettuno V-6, capable of outputting 621 horsepower. Despite their substantial power, both cars manage a nimble weight of 3,300 pounds each and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just under three seconds.

These machines not only represent technological advancement but also serve as tributes to Maserati's historic motorsport endeavors that began two decades ago with the introduction of the MC12 after nearly four decades away from racing.
