The Cyber GTS Concept shares much of its design with the Cyberster, including the front end, bumpers, and lighting units. However, it features a fixed roof instead of the roadster’s retractable fabric top, resulting in a sleeker roofline, a more streamlined greenhouse, and a redesigned rear deck.
Details about the interior are still undisclosed, leaving it uncertain whether the coupe will be a two-seater or a 2+2 configuration.
Importantly, the Cyber GTS Concept is more than just a design study; it could evolve into a production model. MG suggests that the concept “explores the further potential for MG to forge a new future with a GTS model in the EV era,” following the Cyberster roadster that debuted in 2023.
While technical details about the concept remain undisclosed, it is confirmed to have a fully electric powertrain and rear-wheel-drive layout. It’s likely that the Cyber GTS could share specifications with the Cyberster. The most potent RWD version of the roadster produces 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS), while an AWD model with dual electric motors achieves 536 hp (400 kW / 544 PS), both powered by a 77 kWh battery pack.
The electric coupe aims to compete with the upcoming Porsche 718 Cayman EV while paying homage to the classic MGB/MGC GT models of the 1960s. MG notes that the Cyber GTS Concept draws inspiration from the MGC GTS Sebring racecar, which achieved a notable 10th overall finish (3rd in the prototype category) at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1968, marking the best result from the factory MG team in that race.
