The facelifted Kia Sportage has been spotted undergoing testing at the Nürburgring, showcasing significant design updates.

The prototype, seen with minimal camouflage, reveals an all-new front fascia featuring a rectangular grille, vertical headlights with daytime running lights, and a modified bumper with vertical fog lights and a rectangular central intake. The transition from the hood to the fascia appears smoother, with the 'nostrils' seemingly removed.

Although the overall design remains largely the same, new taillight graphics and a redesigned rear bumper with slender reflectors and a center-mounted light are visible. The model may also feature a subtler faux skid plate.

This particular prototype is the short-wheelbase variant intended for Europe, but some design changes could also apply to the long-wheelbase version available in the United States. Only time will tell.
