GMC has put the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 up for sale at dealerships across the country. This comes nearly two years after they first showed off the luxury electric truck.

The company planned to start selling the truck in early 2024. They ended up with a small delay, but made up for it. In April, GMC said the truck would go 440 miles on a single charge, more than they first thought. They also cut the price from $108,695 to $99,995. That's $97,500 for the truck and $1,995 for delivery.

The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 packs a punch. It's got 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. The truck can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and can tow up to 10,000 pounds.

GMC loaded the truck with cool features. It's got a CrabWalk mode and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. Inside, there's open-pore wood trim and dark aluminum accents. The truck has a fixed panoramic glass sunroof and Super Cruise hands-free driving help. There's also a big 16.8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.

Duncan Aldred, who's in charge of Buick and GMC worldwide, said:

"Alongside the Hummer EV Pickup and SUV, GMC is now the only brand with three electric trucks. The Sierra EV is the 'Denali of EVs' and the best truck ever made. Period."

GMC now sells three electric trucks: the Sierra EV, Hummer EV Pickup, and Hummer EV SUV. This puts them in a unique spot in the market.

The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 has some tough competition. Its cousin, the Chevy Silverado EV RST Edition, also goes 440 miles on a charge and costs less at $94,500. The Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast costs more at $119,990, but the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 offers more luxury features.
