Citroen is giving its C4 model a fresh look. Spy photographers have snapped pictures of several test vehicles, showing off the car's new exterior and interior changes.

The C4's front end gets a big update. Citroen has moved the headlights higher up and added slim daytime running lights below. The front fascia has been reworked, and the company's new logo makes an appearance. On the sides, Citroen has removed the accent beneath the front doors, making the car look cleaner and more streamlined.

At the back, the C4 sports new taillights with horizontal elements. The Citroen badge has also been updated to match the front.

Inside the car, drivers will notice a slightly changed steering wheel featuring Citroen's new logo. The seats now come with a three-color design, and the familiar glossy black trim remains.

Citroen hasn't said anything about changes to the engine yet. A few months ago, they introduced the C4 Hybrid 136. This model combines a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V lithium-ion battery. It uses a dual-clutch transmission with a built-in 29 hp electric motor. This setup lets the car run on electricity for up to half of city trips.

Last year, Citroen updated the all-electric ë-C4. They boosted the electric motor to 156 hp and increased the battery pack to 54 kWh. These improvements let the car travel up to 261 miles (420 km) on a single charge, according to the WLTP test cycle.

Photographers spotted the updated C4 models on a car hauler and driving on public roads. Citroen might show off the refreshed C4 at the upcoming Paris auto show in October.
