The NRR-EV comes with some cool features. Customers can choose from four battery options: 60 kWh, 100 kWh, 140 kWh, or 180 kWh. The driving range will change based on which battery you pick.
Isuzu has packed the truck with tech to help drivers. It's got a system that warns you if you're drifting out of your lane, automatic braking for emergencies, and even a feature that lets you know when the car in front of you has started moving. There's also cruise control that adjusts to traffic and an alert system for pedestrians.
For businesses that need power on the go, the NRR-EV has an electronic power take-off. It can provide a steady 7 kWh of power, with bursts up to 26 kWh when needed.
Drivers can keep tabs on their truck using an app. It shows how far you can go on your current charge, how much battery you've got left, and tracks your charging history.
Shaun Skinner, who's in charge at Isuzu Commercial Truck of America and Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada, shared his thoughts on the launch:
"Isuzu teams overseas and here in North America have worked tirelessly to bring the NRR-EV from concept to reality. Start of production marks a pivotal moment for us. This vehicle not only showcases our technological prowess but also our dedication to sustainability and innovation. We are incredibly excited to start seeing our EV on the road and in the hands of our customers."
The first trucks will roll out to customers in September 2024.
