The eMoovy stands out with its ultra-fast charging capability, a feature not commonly seen in the LCV world. It's built on a chassis-cab body, giving it flexibility for various business needs.
Under the hood, the eMoovy packs a punch. It's got a single electric motor that delivers 218 PS (160 kW) of power and 350 Nm of torque. The motor comes from Hyundai Group's largest electric SUV, likely the Kia EV9 or the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 9.
Buyers will have two battery options: a 63 kWh or a 76 kWh pack. The larger battery offers a range of 320 km (WLTP). Thanks to its 800V architecture, the eMoovy can add 100 km of range in just 10 minutes when hooked up to a 350 kW charger.
The eMoovy looks almost identical to the Hyundai ST1, which is the cab-chassis version of the Staria. The main difference? An Iveco-branded decorative grille insert. Customers can choose between a box van or pickup configuration, with plenty of customization options available.
This electric van isn't just about looks. It can carry up to 1.5 tons and has a maximum loading capacity of 10 cubic meters. Its low profile and ground clearance make it ideal for logistics and delivery operations, maximizing cargo space and improving operator mobility.
Inside, drivers will find a digital cockpit, eco-leather seats with heating and ventilation, and various advanced driver assistance systems.
Iveco and Hyundai showed off the eMoovy at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover. This unveiling is part of a larger collaboration between the two companies, which kicked off in 2022. They're working together on carbon-neutral mobility and transport solutions, with plans to explore electric heavy-duty truck options for European markets in the future.
