Mopar shared a teaser image that's not what most folks expected. Many thought they'd see the new Dodge Charger Daytona, but that's not the case. Instead, the image shows four round lights, an old-school grille, a hood with vents, and what looks like some shiny trim.
Along with the picture, Mopar said, "What kind of future is there for a legendary muscle car? A concept from Mopar may show the answer." They're keeping things pretty vague, which just makes people more curious.
This isn't the first time Mopar has teased something for SEMA. Last October, they showed off what seemed to be a second-generation Dodge Charger. That car was supposed to be at the November 2023 SEMA Show, but plans changed. Stellantis, Mopar's parent company, had to pull out because of money issues from a UAW strike.
Speaking of strikes, there might be more trouble ahead. The UAW is talking about striking again. Things are pretty tense between the union and Stellantis. UAW President Shawn Fain didn't mince words when he talked about Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares recently.
With all this going on, it'll be interesting to see what Mopar brings to SEMA. Will it be a totally new electric muscle car? Or maybe an old favorite with a modern electric twist? We'll have to wait and see what rolls out at the show.
