Great Wall Motors has launched its first motorcycle under the new Souo brand, the Souo S2000. It is a powerful touring designed to compete with the legendary Honda Goldwing.

The Souo S2000 packs a punch with its 2.0-liter flat-eight engine, churning out 152 hp. It's paired with an eight-speed DCT, giving riders smooth gear changes on long rides. The bike weighs in at 461 kg (1,016 lbs) and has a wheelbase of 1,810 mm (71.3 inches). It can reach a top speed of 210 km/h (131 mph).

Compared to its main rival, the Honda Goldwing, the S2000 is bigger and heavier. The Souo's wheelbase is 115 mm (4.5 inches) longer than the Goldwing's, and it's 78 kg (171 lbs) heavier. The S2000 also has a larger engine and one more gear in its transmission.

Great Wall Motors offers three variants of the S2000. There's the base S2000ST model, a more luxurious S2000GL with a big rear seat and luggage boxes, and a Founder Edition of the GL with matte black and gold coloring.

The S2000 comes loaded with features. Riders will find a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, rear parking sensors, and heated seats. The bike can also receive over-air updates, keeping it up-to-date with the latest software.

Pricing for the S2000 starts at 218,800 yuan (about $31,000) for the base model and goes up to 288,800 yuan (around $41,000) for the top-spec version.

Great Wall Motors has big plans for the Souo brand. They're looking to expand their range with both combustion and electric bikes. Most of these future models will cost less than the S2000, aiming to make the brand accessible to a wider range of riders.
