Porsche has said goodbye to the 911 Dakar with the release of a unique example for an Italian sports car collector.

The legendary Porsche 911 Dakar has received another unique version, created by order of an Italian collector. There are 2,500 copies of the model, but this special version was given an exclusive look thanks to the customisation department of Porsche Sonderwunsch. The car is distinguished by a three-colour design inspired by the Mediterranean atmosphere.

The main body colour is bright Signal Yellow, which seamlessly transitions into a wavy shade of Lampedusa Blue, in honour of the Italian island of Lampedusa. A third colour, dark Gentian Blue Metallic, adds contrast. The discs emphasise the overall styling by combining Signal Yellow and Lampedusa Blue on the edges. The headlights are also framed in a shade of Lampedusa Blue.

The original colour scheme continues in the interior. Yellow accents are visible on the centre console, front panel and doors. The "911 Dakar" logo on the headrests is in the same bright yellow thread. The transmission selector has also received a small yellow insert - all to remind the owner of the exclusivity.

Despite the custom look, the heart of the car remains the same: a 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine with 480 hp (353 kW) and maximum torque of 570 Nm paired to an eight-speed PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is just 3.2 seconds, and thanks to all-wheel drive, this 911 is able to feel confident on any surface.

Before reaching its future owner in Italy, the unique Porsche 911 Dakar will be on display at the Porsche Museum in Germany.
