The original BMW M3 Touring stands out as one of the few remaining station wagons known for its high speed. Manhart took this speedy family hauler and cranked up its performance, adding 352 hp to create a vehicle that now boasts 855 hp and 1090 Nm.
To achieve this power boost, Manhart made significant changes under the hood. The engine got forged pistons and connecting rods, increased boost from the turbochargers, a new intercooler, and a carbon intake. A new exhaust system completes the powertrain upgrades.
But Manhart didn't stop at the engine. They fitted the car with adjustable H&R springs to improve handling. The wheels got an upgrade too, 20-inch wheels in front and 21-inch wheels in the rear. To handle all that extra torque, the eight-speed automatic transmission received necessary upgrades.
Interestingly, Manhart kept the original carbon brakes. These brakes can stop the car from 280 km/h, which seems fitting for a wagon with such massive power.
The exterior of the MH3 800 Touring also got a makeover. Manhart added new grille inserts, a front spoiler, rocker panels, and carbon spoilers on the roof and beneath the rear glass. A new diffuser with quad exhaust tips rounds out the aggressive look.
Car enthusiasts in Germany can check out this monster wagon at the Essen Motor Show, running through December 8, 2023.
Manhart hasn't revealed the price for this high-powered station wagon, but given the extensive modifications, it's likely to cost a pretty penny. The company also hasn't mentioned how many of these beasts they plan to produce.
