Until now, the Mercedes-Benz eVito van has been available with a 60 kWh battery pack in combination with an electric motor with a peak output of 85 kW (115 hp). Now there are two new variants with a 90 kWh battery.

The larger capacity battery is combined with an 85 kW or 150 kW (204 hp) engine. The more powerful unit is already fitted to the eVito Tourer minivan, where it develops up to 365 Nm of torque. The range of the van with the new battery is up to 480 kilometres in the WLTP cycle.

The overall dimensions of the vehicles remain unchanged:

  • length of the A2 version - 5140 mm;
  • length of the A3 version - 5390 mm.

The battery is located in the bottom of the body. The loading volume is up to 6.6 m3.

The on-board AC charger supports up to 11 kW. Charging is carried out via the CCS connector on the left side of the front bumper. Direct current (DC) fast charging is also possible via this connector. This means that the eVito with the new battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent SoC at a DC fast charging station with a capacity of up to 110 kW in around 40 minutes.

Like the eVito Tourer, the eVito van comes as standard with the MBUX multimedia system with 10.25-inch central display, 5.5-inch colour display in the instrument cluster and the KEYLESS start system. Also included are numerous safety and assistance systems such as Attention Assist, Headlamp Assist, rain sensor, cruise control, Active Brake Assist with Cross Traffic Control, Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent Speed Assist and a reversing camera.

In Germany, the Mercedes-Benz eVito with a 90 kWh battery starts at €46,007 (including 19 per cent VAT). The price includes a four-year maintenance package as well as a battery warranty of up to 160,000 kilometres or eight years.
