The Leapmotor B01 sedan looks similar to the Leapmotor B10 crossover, with a similar front end: narrow headlights, LED stripe and darkened bumper centre. The side profile has a laconic design, flush integrated door handles and a minimal amount of mouldings. The stern has also received a horizontal LED line connecting the lights.
The model will be available with two powertrain options. The base version will be powered by a 177 hp (132 kW) electric motor. The top version will get a 214 hp (160 kW) motor. Both use lithium-iron-phosphate batteries manufactured by CATL. The exact battery specifications and range have not yet been disclosed.
One of the main competitive advantages of the new electric car model should be its low price. According to Chinese media reports, the B01 sedan will cost between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan (approximately $13,600 - $20,400).
The Leapmotor B01 will have its public premiere on 23 April at the Shanghai Motor Show.
