BMW Manufacturing passed a historic milestone in April. The plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, assembled seven million vehicles. In honour of this milestone, the company produced an exceptional vehicle - the BMW Alpina XB7.

The one-of-a-kind BMW Alpina XB7 is painted in the Alpina Green Metallic colour, which is not available in the BMW online configurator. The interior features Tartufo Full Merino leather upholstery in a dark cognac colour. The image is completed by another Alpina signature element - 23-inch alloy wheels with 20 spokes. Under the bonnet is a 4.4-litre BMW Alpina Bi-Turbo V8 engine with an output of 631 hp. Similar powertrains are fitted to M models, including the BMW X5 M.

BMW didn't skimp on options either. This Alpina XB7 gets second-row captain's chairs, real walnut wood trim elements and a panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof. As with all Alpina models, the SUV was separated from regular X7 production early on so that a specialised team could install Alpina-specific components. These included a specially designed front apron, rear diffuser and rear spoiler, mats with Alpina emblems and a commemorative badge.

This BMW Alpina XB7 will remain at the Spartanburg factory and will become part of BMW's historic collection.

BMW Alpina XB7

This is not the first time BMW has created an "anniversary" version of a production model in honour of a production anniversary. Previously, a special Z4 M roadster was built, as well as the X5 M and X6 M SUVs.
