The new Audi A6 PHEV has a 45 per cent larger battery with a capacity of 20.7 kWh, which is located under the boot floor. This is sufficient for a range of up to 111 kilometres on the WLTP cycle for the sedan and 106 kilometres for the station wagon.

Audi offers two PHEV versions each for the sedan and station wagon, both powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 252 hp, but with different levels of electric support. The base version develops a total output of 299 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds. The more powerful modification produces 367 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.

In all-electric mode, the top speed is limited to 140 km/h, and in hybrid mode - up to 250 km/h. Both versions are equipped with a regeneration system with the ability to adjust its intensity using the paddles on the steering wheel.

Another update is the new 11 kW AC in-built charger, which replaces the previous 7.4 kW charger. It allows the battery to be fully charged in 2.5 hours. The battery can also be charged by the internal combustion engine while driving, but only at speeds above 65 km/h and up to a maximum of 75 per cent of capacity. Full charging still requires a connection to the mains.

In Germany, prices start from €65,800 for the A6 Sedan e-hybrid quattro and from €68,300 for the A6 Avant e-hybrid quattro. More powerful versions with 367 hp start at 75,050 euros for the sedan and 77,550 euros for the station wagon. These modifications already have as standard the S line package for exterior and interior, sport suspension, larger wheels and red brake calipers.

Orders in Germany will open from 8 May 2025 and sales are scheduled to start in the summer.
