The YU7 is a high-performance electric SUV with a focus on aerodynamics and premium comfort. It has a signature "shark" front end with headlights in the shape of spreading water droplets and the largest one-piece aluminium hood among production models. According to Xiaomi, the body has been designed with special attention to airflow: the design includes dozens of ventilation channels, active louvres and optimised discs. All this has resulted in an outstanding coefficient of drag of 0.245.
The YU7 is similar in size to the Tesla Model X: the body is almost 5 metres long and the wheelbase is 3 metres. However, the interior design is fundamentally different. The interior is designed in a minimalist style with two screens: a 16.1-inch central screen and a 43.3-inch wide panoramic display at the base of the windscreen. The latter can act as a speedometer, navigator or passenger monitor.
The front seats are upholstered in Nappa leather and offer a massage function, while the rear seats are tilt-adjustable and complemented by individual climate control. The boot capacity is 678 litres, which can be increased to 1,758 litres with the seats folded down. There is also a 141-litre boot in the front.
Other features include recessed door handles, a panoramic glass roof and two spoilers. Three body colours will be available at the start of sales: "Emerald Green, Titanium Silver and Lava Orange.

According to him, taking into account the level of equipment, the YU7 should cost 60-70 thousand yuan ($8,300 - $9,700) more than the Tesla Model Y, the minimum price of which in China is 263,500 yuan ($36,600). The final price is expected to be announced in July.
