Honda has announced a new parts supply program for discontinued models from spring 2026. The first on the list is the legendary first-generation NSX.

Honda has not yet specified which particular parts will be included in the list. And, judging by the wording, these will not only be original parts. The statement mentions that supplying all branded OEM parts for old cars is becoming increasingly challenging, so the company will use so-called "original compatible parts." That is, analogs that meet quality standards but are not necessarily produced according to old drawings at an old factory.

In some cases, this may involve rebuilt parts, 3D printing, and other modern methods. The main thing, according to Honda, is to preserve the functionality and reliability at the level of the original.

Currently, Honda has the NSX Refresh Plan program - it has been operating since 1993, but will soon be closed. Its place will be taken by a new global restoration service that will eventually cover other sports models of the brand as well. Which ones exactly - has not yet been revealed. Details are promised in the fall.
