The name of Subaru's new electric car coincides with Sony's video game series. However, this coincidence seems to be purely accidental. The Japanese automaker associates its future vehicle with the spirit of adventures and unexplored roads.
So far, Subaru has only released a teaser – the silhouette of the car, covered in dust and shot from a distance. However, similarities with the new Toyota C-HR EV can already be seen: similar proportions of the rear, split spoilers on the roof and the trunk lid, and the well-known light graphics.
Although Subaru has not yet confirmed collaboration with Toyota on this model, everything suggests that Uncharted is based on the same platform as the C-HR EV. Let us remember that the brands have already jointly developed the crossover Solterra and the Toyota bZ4X.
If Uncharted indeed uses the same architecture, it could be equipped with a 74.4 kWh battery, two electric motors with a total output of 338 hp, and a range of up to 467 km. However, Subaru will surely make changes to the design and settings, as was the case with the Solterra, which could slightly affect the characteristics.
Uncharted will be Subaru's third electric vehicle after Solterra and the more off-road capable Trailseeker.
