Hyundai has integrated the Google Places service into the ccNC multimedia system. The update is already available for models equipped with the latest software, including the Kona, new generations of the Santa Fe and Tucson, as well as the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 5 N, and the upcoming Ioniq 9. Support for Google Places is being rolled out to both new vehicles and those already in customer hands - the integration began in June 2025.

With Google Places, Hyundai drivers gain access to a vast database of over 200 million locations worldwide: restaurants, landmarks, gas stations, shops, and much more. The service provides detailed information, including operating hours, descriptions, photos, ratings, and user reviews.

One of the main advantages is improved search: now addresses can be entered in free text, while the system offers relevant suggestions even before the input is completed. Additionally, locations can be filtered by categories and brands, and the navigation automatically suggests popular places nearby.

Hyundai and Google are strengthening their collaboration: earlier, the companies implemented support for Google Assistant and Android Auto, and now they are taking a step forward in developing digital services in vehicles. The automaker stated that it will continue to expand its partnership with Google to create new generations of navigation and multimedia platforms.
