Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is equipped with two electric motors that provide a total output of 588 kW (800 hp), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2 seconds and reaches 320 km/h. At least in the virtual world. In the game, there is also a "Boost" feature that increases the power by an additional 59 kW for 4 seconds.
Opel states that the car weighs only 1170 kg with a battery capacity of 82 kWh. If these figures ever became a reality, it would be a sensation. Currently, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo exists only as a show car and digital model for Gran Turismo 7.
The design combines brand-typical elements - the glass front visor and a light design with retro touches. The overall proportions and the window line resemble the first Corsa from 1982, while the triangular motifs and the rally-style rims take you back to the 80s. In the front, 21-inch wheels are mounted, and 22-inch wheels at the rear.
The interior is just as futuristic: no touch screens, only a large projection screen and a "steering wheel" in Formula 1 style. The driver sits in a slim, lightweight seat.
Although Opel emphasizes that the concept was exclusively developed for virtual racing, it demonstrates the potential of the upcoming STLA Small platform. The next generation of the Corsa will be built on it.
The public presentation of the concept car Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo will take place during the IAA Mobility 2025 auto show in Munich, which runs from September 9 to 14.
