Porsche has announced the presentation of the first electric Cayenne. The new Cayenne Electric will debut in a digital presentation on November 19, and three days later will be shown live at the Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai.

The electric SUV will go on sale at the beginning of 2026. The Cayenne Electric will be the brand’s third production electric vehicle and the second SUV with this type of power unit after the Macan Electric. At the same time, the regular third-generation Cayenne with internal combustion engines will be sold in parallel.

The new electric vehicle has an 800-volt architecture and is based on the Premium Platform Electric of the parent company Volkswagen Group. The same platform is used in the Porsche Macan Electric and Audi Q6 E-tron.

The Cayenne Electric will noticeably differ from its internal combustion engine counterpart: with a more streamlined front, frameless windows, and different door handles. The length of the Cayenne Electric is 4,979 mm, which is 49 mm longer than the previous generation vehicle. The wheelbase is also known - 3,020 mm (35 mm longer than the current Cayenne).

The Cayenne Electric received two synchronous motors with permanent magnets. The power comes from a battery with a capacity of 108 kWh. The range is expected to exceed 600 km. The maximum charging power reaches 400 kW. This means that a recharge from 10 to 80% will take only 16 minutes. In addition, for the first time for Porsche, wireless charging of the electric vehicle’s traction battery will be available.

Inside the new Cayenne, the largest display set among all Porsche production models will also be installed, including a curved central touchscreen.

Porsche will broadcast the world premiere of the Cayenne Electric on November 19, 2025, from 15:00 CET on their YouTube channel.
