After a record-breaking 2025, Polestar is launching the largest update of its model lineup: over three years, the company will introduce four new models. An unexpected addition will be the new version of the Polestar 4.

CEO of Polestar, Michael Lohscheller, announced that by the end of the year, the Polestar 4 will receive a new modification. The model will combine the spaciousness of a wagon, the practicality of an SUV, and the characteristic Polestar dynamics.

Conceptually, the car resembles the Volvo V60 Cross Country, but in a fully electric configuration. However, the company does not explicitly confirm that it is a wagon—it is possible that there will be a crossover with a sporty profile and protective plastic cladding.

The teaser images show the rear window and roof rails. This is important because the standard Polestar 4 does not have a rear window—instead, it uses a camera with an image output to a digital mirror.

Production of the new version will be established in South Korea. The premiere will take place this year, and deliveries will start in the fourth quarter.

In 2025, Polestar sold a record 60,119 cars, which is 34% more than the previous year. In 2026, the company expects sales growth and a 30% expansion of its dealer network.

In the summer, Polestar 5 deliveries will begin in Europe. In 2027, the new generation Polestar 2 will debut, and in 2028, the compact SUV Polestar 7 will be released.
