Zeekr has unveiled a refreshed version of its 009 flagship electric minivan for the Chinese market, packing up to 912 hp (680 kW) and a new 900-volt electrical system — one that charges faster than the more common 400-volt — into a family hauler starting around $60,850. Deliveries in China began May 20, 2026. No US launch is on the table, and Zeekr has not confirmed the 009 for any Western market.
Two powertrains, two voltage architectures
The base single-motor 009 produces 416 hp and runs an 800-volt electrical system paired with a 108-kWh battery. Zeekr claims up to 740 km of range under the CLTC standard (China's domestic test cycle); a rough EPA equivalent would be closer to 320 miles. The dual-motor top trim steps up to a full 900-volt architecture with a CATL Qilin 6C battery (115 kWh), 912 hp / 680 kW combined, and a 0–60 mph time of roughly 3.7 seconds — based on the claimed 0–100 km/h sprint of 3.9 seconds. CLTC range there is 720 km, or approximately 315 miles EPA-equivalent.
Both trims ride on dual-chamber air suspension and carry standard LiDAR alongside Nvidia's Thor-U chip rated at 700 TOPS (a measure of AI processing speed). The G-Pilot H7 G-ASD driver-assistance suite — a Level 2 system — bundles more than 70 safety functions including automatic emergency braking and obstacle avoidance.
Second-row comfort is the real pitch
Inside, Zeekr leans hard into the executive-transport angle. Second-row seats offer 22-point massage and full zero-gravity recline. The seven-seat configuration allows the middle row to rotate face-to-face. A 17-inch OLED ceiling screen and a Naim audio system complete the cabin. All seats get power adjustment, ventilation, and heating.
What this means stateside
Zeekr is making moves in Western markets, but the 009 is not part of that plan. The brand confirmed UK sales starting late 2026, with four models on the roster — the X, 7X, 001, and 7GT — per Auto Express (Jan 2026). The 009 has not been confirmed for right-hand drive. There is no US roadmap for any Zeekr model, no NACS or CCS1 charging compatibility announced, and no IRA Section 30D federal tax credit would apply to a Chinese-built vehicle under current Section 301 tariff rules.
At roughly $61,000, the 009 would slot above the Kia Carnival and Toyota Sienna but well below the Chrysler Pacifica's luxury ceiling — a gap no Chinese EV brand currently fills in the US. For now, it remains a China-market showcase of where premium electric people-movers are heading, per CnEVPost (May 2026).
