ALPINA completed the production of the last B3 GT and B4 GT models in the current configuration, closing an entire chapter for the 3 Series and 4 Series before the full integration with BMW.

The last instance of B3 GT Touring is painted in the signature ALPINA Green. The car left the assembly line back in November 2025 - in the same month, production of the B4 GT was completed.

However, this does not mean the complete end of the current ALPINA lineup. For instance, the limited series XB7 Manufaktur, consisting of 120 units, has not yet gone into production at the Spartanburg plant - the start is scheduled for September.

Transition period before the new ALPINA

The end of the "old" ALPINA does not mean a pause in the development of the brand. BMW is already preparing a new generation of models under this name, which should appear gradually.

One of the next steps will be the return of a large sedan, which will replace the B7. It is expected to be built on the basis of the 7 Series and receive a V8, as well as an electric version, possibly based on the i7 M70. Simultaneously, the appearance of a version with a straight-six is not excluded, but there is no official confirmation yet.

New priorities: large and expensive models

BMW Group makes it clear that the development of ALPINA will begin with the upper segment. BMW design chief Adrian van Hooydonk noted that the brand does not plan to rush and will first focus on the highest class of models, gradually expanding the range.

This approach means that the first in line are large vehicles like the next-generation 7 Series and X7 (G67), expected in 2027, and an ALPINA version may appear no earlier than 2028.

Strategy without haste

BMW emphasizes that ALPINA should remain a niche brand with controlled production volume. The idea is not to be massive, but in a situation where demand exceeds supply - this is considered the optimal model for the further development of the brand.
