The new Mercedes-AMG G 63 4x4² received a modified suspension, 22-inch wheels and original decor. Ground clearance compared to the regular G-Class has grown by 113 mm, up to 351 mm. At the same time, the fording depth is now 910 mm versus 700 mm for more mass-produced versions of the model.
The seats of this Gelendvagen are trimmed with Nappa leather, and the steering wheel is covered with Dinamica leather. The key element of the front panel is a massive screen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, familiar to the current generation of SUVs.
Under the hood of the novelty is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a capacity of 585 hp. and a torque of 850 Nm. This mighty engine is combined with a 9-speed "automatic" and, despite being off-road-oriented, allows the elevated G63 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. That's just two tenths of a second slower than the standard G63 AMG.
Price of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 4x4² has not yet been announced. According to rumors, in Europe, such an SUV will be asked to pay at least 250,000 euros (about $ 260,800).
