The EU announced the start of deliveries of more than 90 off-road trucks to support Ukraine under the European Peace Fund. The trucks are intended for medical, engineering and logistics units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The logistics equipment is part of a broader €31 million aid measure adopted on December 2 to support Ukraine, reported  EU Delegation to Ukraine.

This measure includes the supply of medical equipment (including a field hospital), engineering equipment (including demining equipment), supplies for logistics units (including trucks and other equipment), and equipment to enhance cyber defense capabilities.

The implementation of the Assistance Measure began earlier this year with assistance to Ukrainian medical and engineering units.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked  EU for support and published photos of the trucks. The pictures show Renault Midlum 4X4 in military modification.

Trucks on all-wheel drive chassis Renault Trucks started act  to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2021. Prior to that, in the period 2014-2020, Ukrainian KrAZ and Belarusian MAZ were purchased for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including localized versions (Bogdan-MAZ).
