Turning the Kia Niro Plus into a micro camper is easy. You need to fold the rear seats, and then place the air mattress and blanket on a flat surface. So it turns out a bed with access to a power outlet and lighting. Additional accessories include a small table, refrigerator, picnic basket, folding chairs and hanging lantern.
Kia takes advantage of the 64 kWh Niro Plus battery pack to power various gadgets such as laptops and smartphones. A slot in the side wall of the trunk allows you to fix a table on which you can place food and drinks or put a laptop to watch movies.
Kia Niro Plus is an updated version of the electric Kia Niro. It is 10mm (0.4") longer and 80mm (3") taller than the base model. As a result, the Niro Plus has a more spacious interior and is better suited for accommodating passengers, cargo or camping equipment.
The Kia Niro Plus is currently only available in the South Korean market. The cost of the simplest version with a 201 hp engine. (150kW) starts at $33,950 with EV tax credits. The combined cycle range is 392 km (244 mi).
Kia plans to launch the Niro Plus in other countries later in 2022. In addition to the EV version, Hybrid and Plug-in-hybrid modifications will be available.
