The 2,000-horsepower electric SUV will be able to go a quarter mile faster than the Bugatti Chiron, carrying five people in the passenger compartment and groceries from the supermarket in the trunk.

California-based Drako Motors has announced the Dragon electric SUV. Judging by the teaser images, Lowie Vermeersch, former design director at Pininfarina, and his design studio Granstudio have worked very hard on the look of the new car. Dragon is more like a fastback with large aerodynamic channels, evil strokes of LED headlights and sharp taillight blades.

The Dragon will be powered by a Drako DriveOS four-motor drivetrain with torque control at each wheel. A total of four engines develop power up to 2000 hp and allow you to accelerate from 0 to 96.5 km/h (0-60 mph) in 1.9 seconds, cover the quarter mile in 9 seconds and reach a top speed of 322 km/h (200 mph). At least, such characteristics are stated on paper.

It is no less interesting that despite the characteristics of a sports coupe, Dragon supposedly will be able to overcome impassability without much effort. A three-stage suspension system will help him in this matter.

Drako promises "competitive pricing in the super SUV segment, "which includes models that are less than half as powerful as the Dragon. Apparently, such cars as the Lamborghini Urus and Rivian R1S.

More details about Dragon will be revealed later this year.
