Bentley calls the new Airline Seat for the Bentayga the most comfortable and technologically advanced seat ever installed in a car.
After the rear seat passenger selects the desired temperature from seven different levels, the automatic climate control seat measures the passenger's body temperature and surface humidity to an accuracy of 0.1°C every 25 milliseconds. The system can then determine whether heating, ventilation, or both should be applied at the same time to ensure optimal thermal well-being for the occupant.
Simultaneously with temperature optimization, the posture adjustment system automatically micro-adjusts the passenger's position and pressure points using an algorithm developed in collaboration with a chiropractor. The system can apply 177 individual pressure changes in six completely independent pressure zones for up to three hours, increasing comfort and minimizing fatigue throughout your trip.
Due to the gradual reshaping of the seat surfaces, no part of the body can withstand pressure fatigue for a long period of time, which means that the passenger always feels comfortable.
Each Airline seat contains a range of equipment under leather surfaces. A group of 12 silent electric motors provide 22 adjustment options, allowing the user to adjust the seat to the shape of the body, as well as for work or leisure. Three intelligent electronic control units for pneumatic valves are connected to the motors, and this entire combination of motors and valves is controlled by a separate control unit of the Seat Motion & Wellbeing complex.
The Airline Seat option is available for the Bentley Bentayga EWB, a long wheelbase version of the model.
