The next Honda Accord will get a completely new face with a redesigned grille, new headlights and original bumper. Slim headlights sit next to a trapezoidal grille inspired by Ford's recent cars.
When changing generations, the Accord will retain the sloping roofline of the current model. However, the roof will end at the stern with a completely new design. Noteworthy are thinner lights connected by a jumper across the entire width of the trunk lid. The sedan will also get a new rear bumper that is similar in style to that of the eleventh-generation Civic.
Honda is likely to update the interior of the Accord in the style of the Civic and the CR-V unveiled yesterday. The car should get a more restrained design, filled with new electronics and large displays.
It is not yet known if Honda will update the powertrain lineup. The tenth generation Accord is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 192 hp. and a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 252 hp. There is also the Accord Hybrid, which combines a 2.0-liter engine with 143 hp. and an electric motor with a capacity of 181 hp. The maximum power of the hybrid system is 212 hp.
The presentation date of the Honda Accord has not yet been announced, it could happen in late 2022 or early 2023. And the sedan will go on sale sometime next year as a 2024 car.
